The digital Transformation Readiness of the government Organization in Oudomxay Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study: the readiness of digital transformation of government organization in Oudomxay province and to compare readiness of digital transformation of government organization according with personal factors, The sample group used in the study consisted of 324 government officials from 14 departments surrounding Oudomxay Province; The research instrument was a with a Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient value of 0.983, The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, One-way ANOWA analysis. The results found that:

The readiness of digital transformation of government organization in Oudomxay province was ready to transform into digital organizations at a moderate level (= 3.22; =0.67), which the readiness at the medium level was the first order was user-centered, technology and ICT tools, structure and mechanism of government administration and readiness in terms of defining and providing services, policies and regulations and skills and capacity building.

A comparison of the readiness for digital transformation among government organizations in Oudomxay based on the demographic factors of government staff revealed that: different education and work experience led to signifiantly was not different opinions regarding organizations readiness. Furthermore, comparing the different positions, they will have opinions on the assessment of readiness for digital transformation of government organizations in terms of building skills and capabilities, in terms of technology and ICT tools, in terms of the structure and mechanism of government administration. The provision of services and readiness for digital transformation as a whole were different in terms of statistical correlation. For the aspect of readiness for digital transformation of government organizations in Oudomxay province according to policies and regulations and user-centered aspects were not different with a statistical significance level of 0.1.
